Ketiga-tiga tempat ni sebenarnya 'next to each other'. Dah setahun lebih kami duduk di Cardiff ni, barulah berkesempatan menjengah. Penarth ni umpama pekan satelit! untuk Cardiff, lebih kurang pekan Sabak rasanya  Tenang  Pantainya pun pendek saja tapi batu-batunya cantik! Inilah lawatan petang Sabtu kami ...Penarth Marina ni rasanya tempat orang-orang kaya di Cardiff ni ...apa taknya berkapal layar.

To our surprise, spontaneously he sang "eppy bethday to u ......eppy bethday to u'iz" when we opened the cake box  . It's a surprise to everyone of us since he is a bit late in his speech. Well...he's three now and going to nursery after all next month at Adamsdown Primary School (Hafiz's school).
We were a bit concern about his speech development and went to speech therapist referred by our health visitor. After three visits, the tests had shown no problem at all.It's just a delay in speech and seems to be normal according to the therapist. He is catching up very fast (I consider!) in speaking now ... copying what others say ...
Apart from the speech, he is the HERO!!!! Kalau kat sekolah Hafiz (the school he's going), macam celebrity dia. He's a very familiar face in that school. When we went there to register him, their remarks were just ...oh he's here now! Harap2 okaylah masa dia sekolah nanti walaupun hanya 2.30jam sehari. Setakat ni he is NOT  or  or  tapi manalah tahu

A visit to St Fagan Welsh Life Museum
|

Inilah lawatan kami ke salah satu muzium yang tersohor di Wales. Muzium terbuka ini mengenengahkan kehidupan penduduk purba Wales. Kami agak teruja juga ...rupanya taklah jauh bezanya seperti kehidupan nenek moyang kita dahulu. Cuba terbayangkan ...mereka hidup di dunia empat musim, pastinya lebih perit diwaktu musim sejuk! Cuma bergantung dengan unggun kayu api...sekarang yang sudah ada kemudahan bermacam2 pun asyik mengeluh kesejukan (biarpun suhu taklah sesejuk dahulu dek kerana pemanasan global)
Anak-anak pun 'appreciate' lawatan ini. Izzah dan Hafiz dah pernah datang kesini dengan lawatan sekolah mereka .... tourist guide? Tak juga  Walauapapun, ketika lawatan ini kami terkenang muzium kecil di pekan Sabak yang mempamerkan kehidupan penduduk daerah berkenaan. Usaha ini patut di promosikan lagi kepringkat nasional ... jadikanlah salah satu tarikan pelancong ... macam kita org disini, orang luar mesti nak tahu cara kehidupan kita dulu. Seterusnya majulah pekan ku Sabak

An open day of Cardiff Castle
|

This is a rare chance to grab, a free entrance to Cardiff Castle. The normal fee rate is about 20 pounds per person, which is not really in our mind. Kalau dah 7 kepala, tak ke 140 pounds. In conjunction with Wales' St David's Day, the Castle is open to the public, though it was restricted to its open area. Jadilah ...bukannya nak tengok menda pun .... apa ada dalam tu . Alhamdulillah, the weather was sunny as compared to last year's ... dull and rainy and ... everyone of us was not so well.

Happy Birthday Young Lady!!!

Alhamdulillah dah 16 tahun my young lady ni ...it reminds me of her birth at Guys Hospital in London Bridge back in 1993. It was a chilly morning in Ramadhan al Mubarak. A mixed feeling of becoming a mom at distant away from family (of course my dear husband was around!). I did not know what to expect in labour  (though read quite a lot about it).However, with the full support of my housemate (Kak Lin aka Ummu Iman - wife to Dr Dzulkifly aka Abu Iman - now MP Kuala Selangor), I bravely went through the labour without much problem (takkan nak simpan dalam perut!!!!).
Both of them were very fabulous, I could vividly recall their concern and commitment in looking after us, young parents ... Abu Iman was about to have his VIVA for his PhD but attentively spent his time outside the labour room reciting surah Yaasin and other surahs. We were very grateful for them for picking us up from hospital and cooked 'pantang' food before they went back to Malaysia for good . 
Now she has grown up!  and me getting older ...by the way, her dad uses to say, she's just like you (me!) .... fussy, bossy, what else ...

Kunjungan Mejar AMO, Kak Jah & Najah

Terimakasih kepada Mejar AMO, Kak Jah dan Najah yang sudi berkunjung ke Cardiff dalam kesibukan lawatan ringkas (berkursus) ke London. Walaupun agak pening sikit nak sampai ke rumah kami...akhirnya sampailah juga. Cuma kami agak terkilan sebab mereka tak dapat lama di rumah kami kerana itineri mereka agak ketat. Tapi...alhamdulillah dapat juga berjumpa. Tak apa...ada rezeki, di lain waktu boleh berkunjung lagi ...
